As a kid I loved to use my father's camcorder to create home videos. Although the life of that camera didn't last very long in my hands, the interest that I had developed never left me. I filmed my first wedding in 2005 in Detroit. It wasn't much to look at, but it was my first wedding photography gig and I was excited about it. When it comes to photography, I love to use a combination of natural light and off-camera flash. The ability to control the light with the strobe gives a crisp clean look that has become my favorite way to shoot. My style with both film and photography is a mix between classic, journalistic and lifestyle. It's candid, yet done so with some direction and styling. I look for moments but also set the scene, it gives an approachable feel and a relaxed result. I'm based in the Metro Detroit area, but I also cover Grand Rapids and Northern Michigan. In addition to photography, I also create wedding films and highlight reels. Videography is a wonderful way to capture your special day and highlight those moments and memories for a lifetime.
